Keep Busy Stay Healthy

Hi all. I am back and these past few weeks have been interesting, to say the least. For the grand majority, dealing with a pandemic is new territory. It has truly been an experience dealing with our 'new' normal. Keeping ourselves and our families healthy during this time is a priority. Because of the urgency of this matter, most countries have instated a 'shelter-in-place' order for all residents. With this instruction, there are now persons dealing with the fact that they are at home instead of being at work or at school and refraining from socializing in a public setting. For most of us, it sounds like a great idea until it's implemented. Boredom tends to set in quickly. So, I asked you on my Instagram story what you all have been doing with your time. Your answers were great and I will share them because it may inspire someone else. Most of you are enjoying games of all kinds. Authors Brandann R. Hill-Mann and Alexander J. Wilkinson are enjoying Animal Crossing and Final Fantasy 8 respectively, as they pass the time. Writer Kristina Kairn says she's taking this time to adjust the idea of 'plan'. That is most likely true for all of us. Public Figure Janice Dimock is concentrating on work during this time, but the grand majority are taking this time to do what we all love so much - read. That's exactly what Author J.L. Polanco and writers of the YA parody Catrina Loves Trent have been concentrating on. Author Kara S. Weaver and writer Sophia Holloway have added a little extra flair to their reading schedules by throwing in a few naps, some snacking, and a little parenting to pass the time. Whatever you decide to do with your time, make sure to do what you enjoy. When we get back to our regular schedules, the hope is to remember this time as positively as possible. Take care of yourselves and one another by being kind and considerate in the face of crisis. As always, talk to you next time, keep yourself safe and healthy, and Happy Reading everyone!
